Dengue (NS1, IgM) test

Also called dengue, NS1

NS1 detects the virus in the first days of fever; IgM antibodies appear after about 5 days.

Why it's done

Fever in dengue season, with body ache and rash.

What a high result can mean

Positive means dengue: drink plenty of fluids, avoid painkillers other than paracetamol, and watch platelets and warning signs.
